"Four Friends" restaurant is a hidden jewel. It serves native Bahamian dishes, and is located in the heart of Governors Harbour. Make a Turn at "Charlies' Bar and Grill off the main road in Governors, and go two blocks The Northside Inn has a great oceanside setting for you dining pleasure. Therer are also seaside cottages to rent, one of the finest locations for a hotel on the island. In addition, there is a sand floor bar, for your pre-meal cocktail(s). The restaurant serves typical Bahamian and seafood fare, by Rose, the affable owner/manager. A much-needed deli is open in the heart of Governors Harbour. They make HUGE sandwiches, so beware if you order a big one. You can take it to the beach, and have a picnic with it! Yes, wash those traveling clothes, eat some jambalaya, shoot pool, and listen to music jams! The Walls are covered with license plates and bumper stickers, and the surfboards hanging from the ceiling have been stowed there by surfer-regulars. Elvina's husband, known around these parts as "Chicken Ed," is from Louisiana, and cajun type food is served. On Tuesdays and Fridays is jam night, and you might catch sometime local Lenny Kravitz or Chris Robinson or other visiting musicians. On the main road, Queen's Highwy, in James Cistern, this bar and grill has no sign in front, but if one looks at the pictures of its front on the bottom of this page, you will recognize it. It is the first structure on the ocean when entering James Cistern. When you walk in, it appears like a simple bar, one of the best, real, local bars. But it also serves excellent Bahamian food, chicken, and fresh seafood. Pammy's Restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of Governor's Harbour. It specializes in native Bahamian and seafood dishes, both to eat in the restaurant, and to take out. It is also about the only restaurant in the Governor's Harbour area that serves breakfast Come to Mate and Jenny's Pizza Restaurant & Bar for our scrumptious pizza, the best in Eleuthera, Bahamas ! He has New York Style. also Bahamian Style Pizza, conch Pizza, seafood Pizza and Lobster Pizza. Stop by for a pie, or order to be delivered. If you come, check your email at Papa Georges online computers. Serves seafood and Bahamian fare, as well as having a bar. Gourmet continental cuisine with an Caribbean flair. The chef is well-known, and trained Paris. Come by and experience Chef Ludo's fantastic creations. The Cigatoo Room restaurant specializes in a unique combination of Bahamian cuisine and Chinese food. It is a very pleasant setting, with a pool, and very close to world-famous Club Med Beach. It also has a large, fully-stocked bar Tippys serves seafood, and continental cuisine. There is also a bar overlooking the ocean. Lunch is served between 12 and 4, and dinner from 6 to whenever. Open 7 days a week. On weekends, it gets quite busy, so you may want to make a reservation. Located at the edge of Governor's Harbor on the Caribbean side on the water, The Sunset Grill is the creation of local legend Lionel, who is noted for being a big fan of Muhammed Ali and James Brown.
