THE BARGE A steel-hulled barge that sank just after World War II, is about 70 feet below the surface off of Fresh Creek on Andros. It is a 56-foot, WWII-era amphibious landing craft, sunk intentionally in 1963 to create an artificial reef. The plan worked extremely well for local aquatic life. The wreck teems with silverfish, shrimp, rockfish, grouper and other animals. Divers also love to come here to observe the incredible coral formations that have enveloped the sunken vessel. To schedule a dive or to request more information, contact the Andros Lighthouse Yacht Club (+1 242 368 2305). THE MARION
Divers jump into the warm water and explore a construction barge and crane nearly 70 feet under the ocean. These wreck has been submerged for nearly fifteen years. Both of the above can be arranged through Small Hope Lodge THE POTOMAC
Near Morgan's Bluff, is "The Potomac", a large freighter that was split in two. For more pictures of this wreck dive, go HERE....for a video of a dive at the Potomac, go HERE
