ANDROS HOMESITE
Below the surface of Andros Island is a complex maze of underwater caves called blue holes. Experienced recreational divers can enter from either the island or ocean entrances and can even retrace the steps of the famous Jacques Cousteau. Small Hope Lodge has one of the most extensive lists of Blue Hole dives available to sport divers. These include: an ocean Blue Hole and cave system The Big Blue Hole, a cave system beginning in 40 feet which is a regular offering on the Small Hope recreational dive schedule.

Atlantis Blue Hole Atlantis Blue Hole is a massive north/south running faultline system containing one of the largest passages in the Bahamas. The coral rimmed entrance consists of a vertical shaft extending to 40 m depth where a large rift passage begins. This 12 m wide canyon passage has vertical walls extending down to depths of 70 to 85 m. Wreckage of one or more very old boats is located at the bottom of the entrance shaft. According to local lore, the "Lusca", a mythical monster, inhabits ocean blue holes and suck down unwary mariners to their doom. For more info, go HERE
